The road map to winning the second matchup of the season with LSU appears to be unchanged, run the ball with Richardson, don't turn the ball over and play ferocious defense.
The Tide finished second in the SEC West, sporting a regular season record of 11 - 1. Along the way to the National Championship game, the Tide have beaten Penn State, Arkansas, Florida and Auburn.

Les Miles and Tyrann Mathieu fired up for their first opportunity at a National Championship since LSU last won one in 2007. The Tigers are currently perfect going into the National Title game, and have beaten a who's who of opponents to get here, including Alabama, Oregon, Arkansas and Georgia.
The Tigers win by playing defense, and controlling the ball on offense.
That was their recipe for victory early in the season against the Crimson Tide and it looks to impose their will in a very similar fashion this year. LSU finished 1st place in the SEC with a 12 - 0 regular season record.
